Buttonville Cemetery Earliest Marker 1825 Wesleyan MethodistBurial place of Major John Button and Colonel Francis Button who lead militia units in the War of 1812 and the Rebellion of 1837. Major John Button, from whom Buttonville takes its name, commanded a number of Berczy Settlers.
