|
Colborne Street is named after Sir John Colborne, who was Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada from 1828 to 1836, and he established Upper Canada College in 1829. Another street named after him in the Thornhill area is John Street. Colborne Street is best known for its well preserved houses from the days of early Thornhill.
