Ambrose Noble House 120

Community Heritage Estates
Year Constructed:  1830
Address: 11 Heritage Corners Lane
Research credit: Heritage Markham, Doors Open Markham
The Ambrose Nobel house reflects the simple style of Georgian architecture. It is unusual in that it has two front doors. Until recently it was located a the corner of Highway #48 and 16th Avenue and is presently being restored to its original appearance. The dwelling was constructed circa 1830 for the Nobles who arrive din Markham from the United States prior to the War of 1812. Mr. Noble operated a tannery on the property and it is believed that front door at the north end was the entrance to his office.
