Charles Mason Gohn House 139

Community Heritage Estates
Year Constructed:  1901
Address: 10 Wismer Place
Research credit: Heritage Markham, Doors Open Markham
The Charles Gohn house represents an excellent example of a turn of the century Ontario farmhouse built with Gothic Revival style influences. Once located on Leslie Street it was threatened with loss from the construction of Highway 407 and relocated to this lot.

Constructed of brick veneer, this irregular shaped dwelling stood on property that had been in the Gohn family since 1831.
